Agricultural engineering was started in the year 2021-2022 with an intake of 60 candidates. This department has experienced and well-qualified faculties as per anna university norms. Saraswathi college of engineering and technology has the vision to produce quality engineers, The Institution had hired experts from various sectors of agricultural engineering who have actual hands-on experience on the field.
This department is maintaining its rankings in the pass percentage in Anna University, Chennai Zone.
This department has five laboratories with next-gen infrastructure and experienced faculties. The labs maintained by this department are Surveying and Levelling Laboratory, Hydraulics and Fluid Mechanics Laboratory, Environment Engineering Laboratory ,Hydraulic Machinery Lab, Precision Farming  Development Centre.

On completion of the four-year program, The candidates were able to handle and provide solutions to complex problems related to agricultural engineering.
